Benefit GALifornia Blush

〰 Benefit GALifornia Blush | 5g | £24.50 〰

When it comes to beauty products I’m a sucker for packaging, and Benefit’s latest blusher ‘GALifornia’ ticks all the boxes: pretty pastel colours, retro seventies-esque illustration and delicate gold foil detailing. The design is inspired by vintage California surfer girls and is super cute! Blusher isn’t something I buy often but I couldn’t resist this beauty.

GALifornia comes packaged in a compact box with a mirror and the standard flat-bristled brush that comes with all of Benefit's box powders. The blush is a lovely golden-pink shade that just screams summer and the subtle pink grapefruit and vanilla scent instantly makes me want to be on holiday. The intricate sunburst detailing has a shimmering gold overspray, which is beautiful but sadly does disappear after first use.

I haven’t been using the brush that it comes with due to personal preference but overall the blush applies smoothly and evenly, making it easy to blend and build up to your liking. Although the overlay makes it look quite overpowering initially, the gold shimmer is very fine and the end result is a natural peachy pink glow. I’m really impressed with the product so far and can tell I’ll be using it a lot over the spring/summer months!
