Review: Make Up Revolution Iconic 3 Palette

Make Up Revolution is a brand I had heard of but never actually tried until recently. The brand launched in 2014 with prices starting from £1, making their products super affordable - and they're cruelty free! I was looking around Superdrug last week for a new eyeshadow palette and came across the Make Up Revolution range. Straight away I noticed how similar the shades in the Iconic series were to Urban Decay’s Naked palettes. For just £4 I couldn’t resist picking up the Iconic 3 palette, which has a beautiful range of pink and purple shades. I already have the Naked 3 palette and the shades are pretty much identical, so I was intrigued to find out how this palette would compare.

The Iconic 3 palette features 12 shades, 3 matte and 9 pearl/shimmer, which are both warm and cool toned. It comes with a dual ended sponge tip applicator, which I don’t find myself using but I guess it’s always handy to have! The packaging doesn’t look amazing but it is very sturdy and seems like it’ll be long-lasting. The eyeshadows themselves don’t really compare to the Naked 3 palette, I didn’t find them as easy to apply and they did have a bit of fallout, but for £4 I am definitely impressed with them. They have great pigmentation and stay on for a good 8-10 hours. I’d recommend this product if you’re lusting after the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette but are on the lookout for a cheaper alternative!
