Review: Seventeen Stay Pout Lipsticks
There are 15 shades of Seventeen’s Stay Pout lipstick, ranging from neutral nudes and browns to more daring pinks and deep reds. The lovely team over at Seventeen kindly sent me over four shades to review.
‘Man Hunt’* is a lovely dark peachy orange tone which is not something I’d usually go for. I tend to stay away from orange lipsticks as I find they don’t suit me, but this one isn’t too overpowering. If you’re looking for something that isn’t full on orange then I’d recommend this one. This has a slight shimmer to it and would look great with a tan - in my opinion it’s definitely more of a summer shade.
‘Delinquent’* is unquestionably my favourite shade and I was drawn straight to it. It’s a hot pink colour with quite a creamy consistency that makes it easy to use. I’ve definitely been wearing this one the most, the bright colour is beautiful!
‘Just a Fling’* is a great neutral shade to wear every day. I don’t frequently wear brown shades but I have grown quite fond of this one, it isn’t overly pigmented and the finish is quite matte too.
‘Saintly’* is a shimmery frosted pink shade which looks quite different on the tube compared to once it’s applied. I’m not sure if this finish suits me in particular as I don’t wear shimmery shades but it does look like it’d be a lovely everyday lipstick for summer.
Seventeen’s Stay Pout lipsticks are described as longwear lip colour with a touch of stain ‘for hours of kiss proof colour.’ They contain Shea butter to keep your lips soft and moisturised, which is always a bonus and I can definitely tell my lips don’t dry out after using them. They claim to be longwear, and after testing them all out I have noticed they stay put throughout the day – even after eating and drinking. The only con I can think of is that you often need to apply more than one coat initially if you want to get the full colour payoff, but that’s not a big problem. Priced at just £4.49, I love how affordable the lipsticks are and there is such a wide range of shades. They'd make a perfect little stocking filler for Christmas too!
